If you're fiddling about with some excel sheet to 'manage' your passwords just stop it and find something else. KeePass is a possible choice.
The important features are:
- Portability - running an lots of platforms including Windows, Windows Mobile, Linux, FreeBSD. Converters for other software are also available
- Fast search - Manage folders within KeePass to structure your passwords but use the search to find them all
- OpenSource, Free Software and established algorithms
Read on for a quick intro.
Installation and Usage

![]()
- Doubleclick the password field to copy the passwort to your computers clipboard. Then paste it into the application where you need the password. This also works with the username field!
- Type a search string and hit Enter. KeePass will search the complete database and present you a list of matches.
- Structure you password into groups or subgroups. This is similar to the folders in windows explorer.

Tips
